Shrubhill Walk, Edinburgh

Shrubhill Walk is one of the largest development sites within the city of Edinburgh located between Edinburgh city centre and the historic port of Leith, which has become renowned for its bustling wine bars, up-market restaurants, cafes and fashionable shops.

The 7 acre site was formerly the home of the Shrubhill Tram Works which housed the engines to drive the cable for Edinburgh's tramways in the early 1900's.

Planning consent for the development, which is to be developed in six self contained buildings, has been received for 348 dwellings and 17,000 sq ft of commercial space.

The development also benefits from over 400 basement car spaces thereby enabling Frasers to create a car free environment at ground level, which enhances the quality of the environment for the public and residents alike.

Frasers has submitted a further planning application to enhance the current consent by providing a 121 room serviced apartment building, in lieu, of a mixed use building fronting Leith Walk. The revised scheme will provide a total of 421 residential and serviced apartments.
