Frasers Property has been granted planning approval, by the London Borough of Lambeth, for a 34 storey mixed-use tower scheme in Vauxhall.
Identified as a Major Development Opportunity Site, it lies in the Mayor’s wider 'Vauxhall/Nine Elms/Battersea Opportunity Area', which includes the site for the new American Embassy, the Battersea Power Station site, and New Covent Garden. Once complete, the striking tower will rise to over 120m topped by gardens, less than two miles from the Houses of Parliament.
The tower includes 178 private and affordable residential apartments, together with 7,700sqm of office space and 210sqm of retail space at ground floor level.
The design of the building features striking architecture creating a tall and elegant building. All apartments will have their own "winter garden" or balcony and will benefit from the use of communal sky and roof gardens, to deliver year round amenity space for residents. Moreover, the building will be a new landmark that will stimulate ongoing regeneration in the area.
The development is located within an area of excellent transportation links, with close proximity to high frequency bus routes and is a short walk from the Vauxhall Cross Interchange for Underground and Mainline services.
